X Brain vs Readwise Reader
Readwise Reader is a broad read-later and highlights tool that Twitter feeds into as one add-on, by its own description an experimental one. X Brain is built around nothing but your X/Twitter likes. This is less a feature-for-feature match than a question of which one you actually need.

Choose X Brain if
- You want your whole Twitter/X likes history imported and searchable, not individual tweets sent one at a time.
- Twitter/X is what you’re organizing, not a general read-later habit.
- You want Claude able to search your saved posts, and a one-time price rather than a subscription.
Choose Readwise Reader if
- You already read articles, newsletters, and PDFs through Readwise and want a few tweets folded into that same pipeline.
- Best-in-class Obsidian, Notion, or Roam sync matters more to you than Twitter-specific depth.
- You don’t mind Readwise’s own experimental, per-tweet capture method for X content.
Readwise Reader’s pricing and Twitter integration were checked against its own site and documentation in September 2026. If something here is out of date, let us know and we’ll fix it.
